Manchester Food Futures is conducting an online survey in order to assess how the BIG Lottery Local Food Fund might be used to create useful and sustainable benefits for the community and voluntary sector in Manchester.
Food Futures is a partnership that aims to create a culture of good, healthy food in Manchester, with affordable fresh food at the heart of local communities. Increased local production and distribution of food is a core part of the strategy. The BIG Lottery Local Food Fund has recently opened and will distribute grants to a variety of food related projects with the overall aim of making locally grown food more accessible. Food Futures is investigating possibilities for applying for funding from the Local Food Fund to support and extend their work with the community and voluntary sector.
This survey is being circulated primarily to organisations and projects that are part of the Food Futures network. By this we mean organisations that are working in partnership to deliver different aspects of the Food Futures strategy, or organisations that have received funding from Food Futures through grants or commissioning. The network also includes broader stakeholders, such as those that receive Food Futures newsletters, or have attended the conference or events, for example. Even if your group has had no prior contact, Food Futures would welcome your responses to the survey, if you work or plan to work on issues relating to food in Manchester.
Please only complete the survey if you are based in, or working in
Manchester. It would be appreciated if you could complete it as quickly as possible. All responses will be useful, and will be fed into the Food Futures strategy, however it is probable that only those responses received before the end of May, will be taken into consideration in relation to the Local Food Fund.
