About the advocacy Service

The advocacy service is a service based within Rethink, an organisation with over 30 years experience in caring for people with mental health needs. Staff are available to support, help and guide you through the mental health system. The service is available to patients at North Manchester General Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital and Monet Lodge. The aim of the service is to provide you with information and help people to make informed choices about any aspects of your care whilst attending hospital, and enable you to speak up if you are dissatisfied with the service you are receiving. An advocate will work alongside you and on your behalf should you wish to raise an issue or express your views. You will have the opportunity with their help to have a say in the planning and delivery of services in the future.
